North Cascadian Larch Magic


"It was another October gold rush in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington, with foliage prospectors at altitudes of 6,000 feet and beyond gazing at their chosen grail: the alpine larch, a slender tree whose velvety needles turn an incandescent yellow-gold come fall."
